  1. Grow up, of course a woman can be President.  Just because there isn't a qualified woman currently available doesn't mean it shouldn't and can't happen.

  2. Welcome to the 21st century.  Women can vote now, too.

  3. Of course women should be allowed to lead, if they're qualified! There is nothing about being a woman that makes one less qualified to lead.

  4. We claim to live in a society that has matured and grown over the years, but do we really? The 20th Century featured many movements to help advance our nation. It was in the 20th Century that women earned the right to vote in America. Later in that century, advances were made in the equality of whites and "colored" people.

The 2008 presidential election is about as shallow as a public school election. I hear more about McCain being old, Sarah Palin having a pregnant daughter, Obama being black, Hillary Clinton being a woman, Obama's name sounding like "Osama," and more. Honestly, I couldn't care less if these people were colorless, genderless, ageless blobs.

We need to stop looking at these superficial aspects, and start looking at the deeper issues. Who is qualified to run the country? Where do they stand on the issues that matter in our society?

I don't really care about the age, race, religion, or gender of the next president or vice president. I don't care what other family members have done. I care about whether they will be successful in running the country.

  5. Why should we?

  6. wtf! ur disgusting and probably racist as well.

    Grow the f~ck up!

  7. If she has what it takes, sure. Competence is the most important thing. Man or woman or both.

  8. I feel you dude.

We don't even know if these  B#tches have gone through menopause.

  9. I am very conservative and I am extremely supportive of women who choose to stay home and have an active role in their child's lives, while the father takes on the traditional role of bringing home the bacon.

I saw the paths a lot of my friends went down when mom and dad worked, most cases they had to. I was fortunate that I had a mom waiting on me at the bus stop when I got home. She gave me chores and taught me how to do things around the home that needed to be done. THEN she was always home when I went to babysit. I could call her when there was a problem.

I grew up respecting traditional roles.

I spent 7 years in college, paying on my own, mind you, with 2 jobs at all times. I got my BA. Took my career. I have 7 days until my wedding. I am 29, stable and ready.

    I do have a point.

I was raised in the traditional roles. I planned for the other side and was well on my way to never be bored and stay busy and keep working. Personally, sitting home all day long would bore me. However, we plan to have children early on, my priorities have changed. I know I CAN do anything and succeed.. I have the experience and education. But lucky me, I get to grow life. I get to shape and feed life. And after a few short years of caring for that life, I get to go back to playing out my degree. And that wouldn't make me a bad mom.

Mom said "never say never, you will eat your words."

I grew up thinking women could do anything... came to and realized how important a woman's role in the home was and put that above my silly ideals. For me, it is more important to shape the child's life, than making money that will be wasted on nothing.

I told myself I would never be comfortable with a woman running the country. Not that I was boycotting women for the Hillary-factor, rather, realizing that HAVING MY MOM HOME was a million times more important than her jolting off after school to go make a hundred bucks.

I ate those words this past week when I read up on the woman I can't setting up to read.
