Who here thinks it will be a good idea if the province bought and owned the ttc?

I most certainly believe that the province should (at the very least) help pay for it. Not only does the TTC provide a needed service for Toronto it also serves the rest of Ontario with people who live outside the city but work in the core. There should be incentives for taking the TTC instead of driving (instead of hiking the rate every year) TTC is cutting off it's nose to spite it's face by doing this. It encourages people to drive rather than pay the increase. This is a needed service in Toronto just like the fire dept or the police and should be regulated as such.
