Question:

Who here thinks that Tibet should be free?

I ask this because after doing a little research, I've found that before China took over, Tibetans lived in Theocratic despotism in which enslaved peasants could be punished by being tortured or having their eyes plucked out. That might sound like the exact opposite of the Utopia that you've been taught Tibet used to be like by the western propaganda machine, but it is true, the Dalai Lama is on the CIA's payroll... How can westerners fork out the cash to go to China and demand that they free Tibet and restore the Tibetan government in-exile without knowing anything about the depraved oppresive regime that used to run things there?

  1. It's all up to the people to take there freedom back you have to be willing to dye and kill for it!

  2. That's up to the people of Tibet.  If they want to be free, they need to stand up and overthrow the government that oppresses them.  We stood up to England, which was the most powerful nation in the world at the time, and the need to do the same.

  3. There is a principle that has fallen out of favor over the past few decades. Term " self determination" if a people want to be free they have to fight for it and overcome their oppressors. The reality is that Tibet is not powerful enough to take back their freedom and not important enough for anyone to help them.

  4. You have forgotten that China ruthlessly took over Tibet at the cost of many lives, cruelty to their opposition, and on the flimsy excuse that they once ruled Tibet many years ago.

If that is their justification, then the Chinese, if true to their history, can also rule every piece of real estate to their west including India and the Eastern regions of Africa.

I do not put it past them. They would do it as so as they are able.

I wholly expect China to invade Taiwan soon after Obama is elected.

We will do NOTHING to defend our old ally. If we do, we will be loosing our aircraft carriers and all other ships in the area.

  5. I do believe that they should be free. However any country (no matter their religious beliefs) should be willing to fight for that freedom.
