Who here tried out for there varisty tennis team???

Question

i am starting freshman next year and want to here your tryout. I want to work on what they want. So you guys mind if i have a whip of your practice???? i dont wanna play for JV-.- casue we have a day called powerpuff day ( yea i know T.T) where its all JV vs Varsity in every sport and the JV gets owned>.>.

I just finished my week long varsity tryout and this is how it went. the first few days we played challenge matches against eachother in singles. then, whoever hadnt won a certain number of games was cut. then we played doubles matches and the same thing happened for the last few days. at the end of every practice we would do sprint drills and we started to work on strategies. i hope this helps and i hope u make varsity like i did!

I live in michigan and when I played, we had to practice very early in the morning before school.  This occured at an indoor place.  The first few days it was just the coaches trying to determine who fits where, who's better than the other, etc.  Then we started playing matches with people the coaches thought were at equal levels.  The top 12 make varsity (4th singles through 4th doubles).  The rest go on JV.  So if that's how your coach does it just quit if you don't make varsity.

My varsity practices included me playing with the radar gun, driving my coaches car (Lotus Exige), finishing up homework, and just goofing around.  Heh, good times!
