  1. Me...yeah that's fine. You can put a fence there if you want

  2. local zoning and planning division

  3. the counsel

  4. If your preoperty is owned by the Council then you have to apply to them.

If your house is on a piece of land governed by a covenant then you need to consult your deeds to check the guidelines.

If your house is not leasehold, not rented or owned by the council and does not have a covenant on the land then you can do as you wish.

  5. local council planning authority

  6. Local Council, if the fence is below 1.5 metres then I dont think you need permission, best to check first though.

  7. Who owns your property?

You ask who ever owns the property otherwise it's up to you aslong as the fence is under 7 foot i think is the max otherwise you have to get planning permission.

  8. I would put it up ,i doubt anyone will complain unless it is more than 5 ft tall.

  9. Depending on the height I would say your local council.

  10. www.zdnet.co.uk/tsearch/local+authority+...

  11. no one as long as its on your property, though the height must be reasonble not block your neighbours light etc

  12. I am sorry you have had so many ill informed answers. They could get you into trouble.

Where a fence is adjacent to a highway then its height is restricted to 1 metre (3ft 3in). In any other position 2 metres (6ft 6in). If you are within these limits you do not require planning permission.

If your house is rented then you must have the permission of your landlord.

If you own the house you need to check whether there are any planning conditions which may have removed the above rights (on open plan estates for example).

You should also check whether there are any restrictive covenants on your deeds.

    Hope that helps.
