  1. its sad that with every thing going on we cant find anyone in our country who inspires us.

what about all our athletes from what ever sporting discipline, who still persevere in their sport and still do good. overcoming lack of proper training facilities, equipment etc and succeed.

and all our young children who must deal with soo much but still come out on top, look at Vidya (?) no hands but she got all her subjects at CXC level, and there's this one guy who is diabetic and got 8 1's at cxc this year.  there are adults who cant deal with being diabetic.

and i am sure that if i think hard enough there are people in society who are doing things that would make me want to be better at whatever i do.

someone who inspires you dont have to be well know, it can be someone who is doing good for your neighbourhood. eg. there's a shop keeper in Arouca, she doesnt have any children...and everyday, EVERYDAY she cooks food for ALL the animals in the area, dog, cat whatever.  the stray dogs, the neighbour dogs and cats.  dogs from all up in Bon Air West would come down by her on evenings for a meal. She says that those are her babies.  h**l she even takes them to the vet!

all it takes is someone doing something good.

  2. Colm Imbert -- he is amazing, truly a gem of a man. Because of him i learnt never to be accountable, the buck stops at me...but i will leave it on the table for someone to clean up.

He has also shown that if you l**k the correct *** you will stay alive.

I too want to build a stadium with a removable roof and a leaning wall of Trinidad.

I will never keep a deadline or a promise, i will hope that people forget.

I will stay in the game because of my brotherhood, they never let me down.

Also i will like to add to this list Trevor Paul -- no need to say more

Max Richards - drink wine and get on bad .... the youths need an example

Ato Boldon -- never bite massa hand

Bas Panday -- old age and alcohol --- no no

Jack Warner -- got money will spend

Jerry Narace -- we don't have a dengue outbreak what we have is an upsurge of dengue cases

Last but never least Patos Manning -- yes man ! storm in people country -- they was even expecting you

begging dem to join de tea party and get get blanked -- but at least GHL jet making money

  3. It's hard to find someone that inspires you in Trinidad. Even Trinidad's heroes have been faced with their own negative sides. hmmmmmm. This is a toughy.

I know no teachers that inspire. Sadly I found my inspiration outside of Trinidad.

  4. Vindra Naipaul was inspiring

Wendy Fitzwilliams - by how she carries herself

  5. Brian Lara

  6. Patrick Manning  NOT !... The poor people who struggle day after day without complaining, if they do complain no body is listening....bd

  7. Jaz...that question kinda tuff! It really hard to find someone in the public eye of TnT with the qualities I find inspirational. I am inspired by humble people who even without would smile and lend a helping hand. Who are honest and hardworking and have big hearts. Who are happy with having a loving home and family even though most luxuries arn't there. And truly...these are the people who I grew up with and surrounded me and have thought me to appreciate each other in life and to support and help those who need it.

Anyway ....I don't want know thumbs down ...because..this is just my personal views of inspiration for me. Sorry that I don't see it in our leaders.

  8. the mother of a young lady who has CP and is attending UWI studying for her masters.

She tends to her daughter needs even wheels her to and from classes.

  9. Paul Keens Douglas-I grew up listening to his comedy and as I got older and did some research about him on my own. I found out about his background and how educated he is, and now he's a motivational speaker. He makes me proud to be from Trinidad and Tobago.
