Who in here have gone to Bantay Ilocos Sur, Philippines?

I and my groupmates are making our

report and we'd like to know how are

your experiences when you were there..

well, i went there during the peak of summer.  it was hot, dusty.  i saw several houses and i said "hey these are houses".  i also saw business buildings, stores, grocery stores,  side stalls, etc.  i ate in a little restaurant.  i enjoyed the food- it was ilokano food, surprise!!  the people by the way spoke ilokano.  

anything else you'd like to know, dude?

ive been at bantay twice. i have an uncle there.

people there are so hospitable. the place is so good. the food are great. you can enjoy their picnic venues(particularly beaches), its so good. i recommend you to visit there and have an unforgettable experience too. enjoy!!!

I've been there and they are still using the calesa from Bantay to Vigan.

Are you living around the Ilocanos places?

Bantay is an agricultural town and small town. Although it is one of the oldest town in the Ilocanos provinces. The only experience I can tell you is a ride in a calesa. Had a lunch across the street with the folks with a clarinet size 'tabakos'.

When I was there for a feasibility study may be the same as yours, we tried to cheat our professor unknowingly, she is a native of Bantay. Know what I mean?

It is an ideal Ilocano town that you dont need to go there to know their lifestyle.
