Who in here thinks britain should keep the royal family?

the royals have german blood they came here and changed there surname to windsor in order to sound more british i say we get rid of them all

I think Britain should keep the royal family. Based on their history, it has been ruled by royals way back when. The royals are a huge chunk of the British culture. Without them, it would be cultural chaos. There was a time when a commoner, Oliver Cromwell took over but he was not successful. His tenure was as bleak as Sarah Ferguson's. At least, Fergie was once very well-loved by all.

Well, that's a matter for the British to answer.

Anyway, I think that they should keep them, they're part of their history and tradition, BUT set them to work for the good of the people AND take some money away from them and give it to charities and poor people. Do they really need all those cars and dresses and houses?

I think I'm a borderline royalist.

I like them, I think they add some sort of magical sparkle to the country that the United States lacks.

the uk is really boring. the only things you have going for you are doctor who and the royals. if you throw the royals away you have to find some other way to add sparkle.
