  1. I hope to God this never happens.  Unfortunately, all signs of reality and current and future diplomatic governing nations indicate a merger in the future.

  2. No to the Euro. It will be the downfall of Great Britain as a nation and the last piece of the puzzle making us European rather than British. Once the n**i's realized they were loosing WW2 they created the EU so many years later they could control Europe from behind the scenes.

  3. absolutely no way

  4. No, the Pound is worth more than the Euro. If it is ever the reversed, then yes maybe.

  5. Wow, you guys are awesome- you actually agree on something- U.S. contributor.

  6. Britain without sterling, is like Europe without the Euro.

  7. not a chance. let the europeans keep this c**p, there is nothing wrong with the pound.

  8. I wonder why more people don't embrace Europe, given that things are apparently so bad in the UK right now and all the other countries who've embraced it are doing really well. AND they've kept their sovereignty.

  9. Probably many of the business community does...not me though. But perhaps it's time to reconsider.

    No man is an Island.

  10. Yes.  0r at least make legal tender alongside Sterling.  It would facilitate travelling in Europe if we regularly saw items dual-priced.

  11. i´m from germany and i hate the euro!! and i love our pounds so keep them please!!!!!!!

  12. No way, that would be a disaster!!!!!!!!

  13. There is no reason to. Why be a small fish in a lake when we are the biggest in a pond.

  14. Not me, for all our faltering economy we would be in a worse state if we handed ourselves over to the German's and French.

  15. I do not think that it will be in the UK's best interest to have the Euro. We have lost so much of our identity & traditions by being part of the EU, which quite frankly I believe is bias against us. Why? Well, one example would be foreign HGV drivers. They come over, mainly from Poland, with driving licenses that could barely allow them control of a horse & carriage let alone an Articulated lorry & cause havoc on our roads. A lot of them when caught driving dangerously never hang around long enough to be punished under our laws. They rape our country, contribute to our economic crisis by sending their earnings to Poland & by claiming benefits for children that do not reside in our country & they also take advantage of our NHS system.

We will be in more of a crisis if we are to join the Euro, because our rip-off government will round everything off. Basic items such as bread & milk will become even more expensive than they already are. We might be ok as far as using our Euro on the continent, but I doubt it. Lets face it, the way things are going the cost of traveling abroad we be a treat for only the very well off!

  16. h**l no!

  17. My wife and her sister were in Austria earlier on this year and everyone they spoke to praised the British Government for not entering the Euro. To clarify that was Germans Austrian and and French. In the belief that even our shower of comedians can not be wrong all of the time I would sugggest that we stay out of it no matter what the cost

  18. Haven't a clue, certainly no one I've ever spoken too.

Seems Gordon Brown is the only one who thinks we should join, hence the reason no one has been allowed to vote on it!!!  Lets hope he remembers the choice he gave us at the next election, I shall use my vote then to BOOT HIM OUT...

  19. It's not economically prudent for Britain at present, and unlikely to ever be.  But I think the idea is a good one in principle.

  20. no way the pond has always been the strongest,
