  1. I would say Oregon. They lost two huge players last year in Dennis Dixon and Jonathan Stewart, and have the potential schedule to lose about 4-6 games this year. They still somehow get a good amount of attention, but I don't think they are that strong of a team. Clemson is a good one as well!

  2. Clemson is #22 right now and that may be about right after that embarassment against the Tide.  Alabama may just be a little underrated because they did look awfully good to me.  Georgia who was formally #1 and now #2 is loaded but with their schedule and how they looked last Saturday, I think they are just a little overrated too.  Top 10 yes but not #2.   Michigan was once again overrated but they get ranked every year because of their lofty status.  I believe Florida is better than Ohio State and should be ranked higher.  Ohio State has a great team but we all know what happens when they play an SEC team.

My opinion is that they shouldn't even start these polls until teams have played at least 7 games or so and some lively opponents so we can see who the real contenders are and who the pretenders are.

  3. Oregon is a solid program, if any kind of rated they'll be underrated this year, they are a very strong defensive unit this year. Clemson o-line will be a huge issue, but I find them climbing back into the polls as their ACC season progresses.

Pittsburgh shown to be overrated, but will start playing well in Big east play. Wake Forrest most likely will open some eye's this year. I honestly belive Auburn might be a tab too overrated this yr, although they won easily but then again against who. Tennessee was overrated

I believe this offense wont produce that much this year unless that Freshman qb turns into superman. S.Carolina if they can stop playing at thier opponents level could emerge as the real surprise team this year, we'll find out after this week against Vandy. If they fall to Vandy's level of play, win or lose, expect another par year from S.Carolina, if they play at the level they are capable of and thats beating Vandy by two or more touchdowns, more likley three, then S.Carolina could be the darkhorse of the SEC East.

We must wait until another two to three weeks to really get a feel how these teams will do. Right now a bunch of teams could easily be overrated or underrated at this time of the season. That includes Arizona State,West Virginia,Missouri ,Florida,Georgia, Ohio State, and USC in this mix. Teams that could be underrated are Kansas, S.Florida, UConn and Utah as well as Fresno State and Texas Tech

as well. But of the teams I mentioned that are for real , my selections are: Oklahoma,Kansas,West Virginia,Ohio State, and USC ,Oregon and Wisconsin.  These teams all have issue's some are very solid, but the returning starters the expierence these teams has had at this level will keep them winning games. Missouri needs to have a game that its defense needs to play better, if not, Im going have to say Missouri could be overrated as well, but lets wait and see in about 3 to 4 weeks from now.

  4. alabama usc

  5. South Carolina. I don't even expect them to beat Vandy.

  6. Texas Longhorns.  I love my Horns, but I'm not sure all the people in that secondary have lost all their baby teeth yet.

  7. I aggre with both of you but clemson is very overated and think will lose at least 3 more games to flordia st wake and va tech.

  8. Tennessee was, UCLA is. UCLA jumped into the top 25 after beating a Tennessee team thats not that good really. UT could lose 5-6 games this year. Their offense was terrible after getting 4 1st half  turnovers and only converting the one returned for a TD into points. UCLA will also finish near or below .500 this year. And I think Oregon could be a big sleeper this year. Yeah they lost Dixon and Stewart and still hung 44 in their 1st game while revolving QBs.
