Who inspired you to surf?

I'm inspired by Kelly Slater, Dane Reynolds, Julian Wilson, Clay Marzo, Garrett Parkes, Layne Beachley, and Melanie Redman-Carr. Hopefully some day i'll be as good as all of them. But i'll still be lucky if i even come close!

my dad kinda inspired me to surf and so did my old fren chad. they taught me how to surf. my dad has partied with kelly slater and i ggot autographed stuff from him. hes kool.

I was inspired by Chuck Linnen in 1960.  He used to haul many young surfers around including Robert August and Corky Carrol.  He inspired and mentored a lot of surfers over the years.  Last year he received a star on the Walk of Fame in Huntington Beach.
