  1. His name was Arthur Wickersneed, and he lived near Ashby-De-La-Zuch, he was fed up with there being no TV on at night in those days, his wife had left him, and he was long sighted, so couldn't read. One night he was working out the theory of relativity, this was long before Albert Einstein thought of it, but he kept forgetting the bits he'd worked out. He said "Bugger it, I'll do something else instead". While he was thinking he fell asleep, and when he woke up, he said "Blimey, I liked that, I'll call it 'sleep', that can be my invention. I bet one day when computers and the internet have been invented, some one will ask about it on Yahoo answers", and now you have.

  6. Nobody invented it, it just happens. Try staying up for as long as you can and you will find out what happened to create it.

He rested on the Sabbath day! Since we do not have his stamina, we rest everyday and since he is already up he wakes us.
