  5. Uri ma, you're right!

    You're SO right!!!

Now the only problem is how to change this... I suppose it IS possible to have 2 weekdays and 5 weekend days.

All everybody has to do is show up to school and work on Saturday and Sunday and ditch the other days.

    Sounds like a plan!

  13. Not sure who did 'invent' it initially but I hear that some companies are starting to rethink that, in the US.  Rather than a 5 day work week, they propose having a 4 day work week with 3 days off.  That sounds pretty cool to me, might be a bit tiring cramming 40 hours of work in four days but the three days off might make it worthwhile.  The thought process/inspiration for this is to combat the continuously rising costs of gas and its' stress on commuting.

  14. LOL that would be PERFECT TO HAVE 5 DAYS OFF AND 2 DAYS OF SCHOOL;)

  15. me

    ki$$ ki$$

  16. i kno... right?  It would be so much better that way!!!  :)

  17. You can probably trace "Saturday" and "Sunday" breaks to Judeo-Christian times. The term Judeo-Christian is used to describe concepts and values that are held in Judaism and adapted by Christian beliefs. Saturday is the day of worship in the Jewish faith (Sabbath), while Christians attend Church on Sundays. Thus, Sunday and Saturday are given off for worship while the other 5 days are left for work and school. In Islamic countries (such as part of Egypt), Friday is the day off. School is held 6 days a week and Friday is the weekend since Juma'a falls on that day. Different places sometimes have a different number of weekends that fall on different days. But even in the Middle East, some places are beginning to adopt the Saturday/Sunday weekend. So, we just need to figure out how to shove in a couple more worship days throughout the week.
