It wasn't necessarily 'invented'. I don't believe someone did it and then he told a bunch of people. I think it was just always here, really.

That's like asking who invented s*x. We just have basic instinctual needs that we feel need to be met, so somewhere along the line, our ancestors figured out that kissing leads to s*x, which leads to having children, which leads to proliferation and survival of a species.

technically animals would've as they tend to l**k each other. Perhaps the original bare concept of romance like that perfected when humans could stop hunting and settle down a little since food surpluses.

I once saw a documentary that said that kissing started because long long ago before the invention of food processors grandmas would chew food to a fine consistency and then pas this food to the babies via mouth to mouth. ewww but you do what you have to.
