  1. he is a poser... he is a bigger joke than Joe Mesi.. and at lightweight he would get KTFO by pacman.

  2. yes he sure can !!!!!! hasnt been defeated my any1 yet!!!

  3. hahahahahahahahaha....no he cant..

  4. well hes a bit over rated and like a big headed guy.. but he does like killing the critics aka puplic.. i think Pacquiao will come out on top ......

pacquiao is still a brilliance. but you can never tell with khan tho.

  5. Amir is a talented up & coming boxer. Unfortunately as usual the UK press have got a grip on him hailing him to be the great british hope. So every fight he has is critiscied even though he wins them. He could make it with the p4p s one day but at the moment he would loose. Just the same as anybody his age would

  6. Amir Khan is currently one of Britain's top boxing prospects fighting in the lightweight division. He won an Olympic silver medal in the lightweight division at the 2004 Olympics in Greece and went professional soon after.

He is currently the WBO Intercontinental lightweight champion with a world ranking of #2 by the WBO.

Should a fight between Khan and Pacquiao take place any time soon, most 'experts' would predict a Pacquiao win.

Contrary to other opinions on this site that Khan would be blown away in two rounds or less we should consider that Pacquiao started boxing professionally as a LIGHT FLYWEIGHT (that is, 108 pounds). Since then he has won world titles at flyweight, junior featherweight, featherweight (The Ring championship), and junior lightweight.

The norm is that the higher up in weight you go the more punching power you lose. As phenomenal a fighter as Manny is, there is no question that he has lost punching power and fighting at lightweight he would be fighting 27 POUNDS above his debut weight. That is just a little bit less than what Thomas Hearns gained in moving from welterweight to light heavyweight (28 pounds). You don't find many former welterweights winning the light heavyweight belt and if it is a struggle for bigger men, it is definitely a greater struggle for the small guys of the squared circle.

Taking their size in proportion, gaining 27 pounds is a greater percentage in weight/size ratio than, let's say, a light heavyweight going up to cruiserweight.

My opinion is (and I stress that it is simply my opinion) that Khan knowing who he is fighting would be in the best shape of his life. His downfall, however, is his lack of experience. I believe Khan would keep it competitive for the first four rounds due to his talent but Manny's experience coupled with his constant aggression would eventually wear Khan out.

My opinion is that Pacquiao would win by a knockout in the latter rounds.

  7. Amir is a great prospect but that is it at the moment, his defence needs tons of work on before he even thinks of getting in with a banger like Pacquiao. I wouldnt see it lasting a round at the minute.

Khan has all the tools coming forward though, he is an amazing talent and if he can get his defence sorted out i would be very surprised if he dont go all the way to the top in the boxing world.

I see a lot of comparisons with Hamed being made at the moment and you cant blame people for doing this if Khan is going to keep visiting the floor in every fight, i see it as over confidence on Khans part but i think Khan is a lot more level headed than Hamed ever was and will take on board what his trainer tells him which will be to get his hands up higher and pick his spots not just go on the all out attack for every minute of every round.

Basically the answer to your question is Khan could beat Pacquiao at Lightweight but it wont be any time soon, i would think at least 2-3 years and the Pacman will probably of retired by then. If they fought now then Pacquiao would blitz Khan definite KO within 2 rounds.
