Who is Ben Fox?

At the Phoenix Open first round, Fox hit five birdies (and a bogey) to finish four under, very much in the mix - so who is this guy, who's ranked 1013th in the world?

Fox went pro in 2008, playing in just one PGA Tour event, Justin Timberlake's Vegas event.  He made it through local qualifying for the Open, but did not advance to Torrey Pines. Fox then spent much of his '08 year on the Canadian Tour, with his best finish a 4th place, though he missed five cuts. Last year he continued to struggle, again making just one start on the PGA Tour, and playing on no other tour last year. Long story short - he played much better yesterday than he usually does!
