  1. He was a murderer.  But people think his face looks cool on a T-shirt.

  2. i think it's more to do with his rebelious image and stupid green uniform, beard and cigar. Half the people who wear his shirts don't infact have a clue who he is, they just think the shirt looks cool.

  3. Did you really need to post a question about this?  Took me about 3 seconds to find this information.

  4. Che Guevara was a revolutionary from Argentina.  He helped Fidel Castro take control of Cuba.  Guevara did a lot of bad things to innocent people; so, he is not a person you would want to admire.

  5. Yes he joined Castro in his 26th of July Movement.

  6. Che is admired because he did something tough-he stood up for his beliefs and put his life on the line for a cause when it was small, weak and doing so was really risky.

He stood up for the little people, the battlers, and wanted them to have a better life.

Unfortunately, he ignored his own book about guerilla warfare and tried to start a revolution in a country where his movement had very little popular support.

I wear a Che t-shirt, I also give money to Amnesty International, Medicines San Frontiers, go to protests for the rights and freedoms of the "proletariat" like the working poor and Aboriginals and I vote as far left as possible (usually Greens). I have been beaten up, spat on and thrown in jail for following Che's example.

    CHE ROCKS!

  7. he was first introduced into the socialist movement by fidel and then betrayed by him when he didn't agree with the way fidel was doing things. he believed in the rights of all people and truly wanted a better state of things in south america. he was probably one of thee only true socialist ever. he was originally supposed to be a doctor but never finished his studies to take up arms. Anyway he is idolized especially in Cuba because he represents what it could have been instead of what its like there now. Fidel represses his people in a way Che would have never agreed. There is a great biography on him you could read, long but good. also watch motorcycle diaries.

  8. Ernesto "che" guevera  -

Yes, Che helped Fidel be successful in the Cuban revolution.

He went back to S America to help with revolutions in various countries there.  he was Argentinain but was in Bolivia when he was killed by the Bolivian Army as he worked toward revolution. some say the murder was influenced by the US CIA.

Many Latin American countries and socialism advocates look up to him.   Many more democratic/conservatives do not.

watch the movie FIDEL and MOTORCYCLE DIARIES to learn more.  hes even played by the same actor - gael garcia bernal
