she's a short chick lit novel writer.  she has several series.  the most famous and longest series is about a woman who works getting criminals to come in who have skipped paying their bail.  that series almost always has a number in the title (in numerical order).  she has also written some christmas specials, a Nascar series, and a couple of other private detective-ish series'.  she's fun for something you just want to pick up and read with some laughs and 'hijinks'.

she is one of the best comic writers around.. it is kind of "chit lit" but a bit funnier and a bit more actiony with less romance...

Her best books are the Stephaie Plum series, by the numbers.  and they should be read in order

Two for the Dough

etc

its not "deep" it is not "profound"

Its is easy and fun

you could easily read each one in a day
