She fought against english but further she was burned when she told people she heard voices.

Nowadays, the french nationalist party has taken her as in idol.

This party from extrem right (Front National) organizes each 1st May a meeting just in front of Jeanne d'Arc statut near the garden of Tuileries.

I guess you could say that the three Voices that spoke to her were her heroes in a sense because she certainly respected them.  They were St Michael the archangel, St. Catherine and St. Margaret.  For more on them go here:

Joan certainly acted as if Charles Valois, Dauphin of France was, if not her idol, at least someone for whom she felt great respect and even reverence.

Joan of Arc was visited by some saint.  I believe it was Saint Catherine, who spoke to her, telling her to go to war and defend France from the English.

Your second question makes it sound like you want to know who we idolize.   that´s an entirely different question.
