  4. (GK)Van Der Sar-His experiance is crucial to keping our back four together, and with him in goal the lads at the back can be confident of the man behind them.

(LB) Patrice Evra- Proved to be one of the best left backs in football last season, has the pace to recover and gives us a good attacking option from the back, linking up niceley with giggs, nani etc.

(CB) Nemanja Vidic- Most improved Centre back in the premiership and 1 part of the tightest defence in the league last year. Good with his head and brave attacking the ball at both ends.

(CB) Rio Ferdinand- Sometimes looks like he is being complacent but thats just down to how cool and collected he is. 2nd part of our championship winning defence, and future utd captain too.

(RB) Gary Neville- I believe Wes Brown ws fantastic for us last season filling in at right back and centre back when needed, however i think gary is a little more composed, provides better link up play going foward and most importantly is our captain.

(LM) Nani- I think with last seasons experiance under his belt Nani is set to become a regular for us in this position. He has the pace and skill to get past defenders, and can shoot too. Giggs wont play so many games this year, so its Nani's chance to step up to the plate.

(CM) Owen Hargreaves- Showed glimpses of what he is capable of last season and will be a rock in the middle of the park. He may not have the range of passes that Scholes or Carrick has, but he showed in the champions league that he is more than capable of providing an attacking threat too, either through the middle or down the right.

(CM) Paul Scholes- Probably the hardest place to cement down a position this year, as Anderson is coming on leaps and bounds and proved to be more than capable of being Scholes's successor. Scholes still has this season in him though and he makes everything look so simple that people often confuse him with having a bad game. He is more than capabl of providing that one killer pass that we need to score.

(RM)- Cristiano Ronaldo- The most obvious definite starter for any team in the league, scratch that the world. Was not just his unbelievable tally of 42 goals in all competions that has rightfully earned himself title of worlds best player, but his ability to run past defenders like they were not there, and now consistantly producing end product too, whether for himself or for others.

(CF) Wayne Rooney- Does so much more for the team than score goals, the amount of chances he creates for others, often out of nothing is staggering. More than willing to track back (though arguably at the expense of his own goal tally) makes him a complete team player, and people who watch UTD know were a different team without him.

(CF) Carlos Tevez- Work Horse is simply the best way to describe Tevez. The amount of lose balls he chases, defenders he hurries in to making mistakes and crucial goals he scores has made Tevez into a fan favourite, and well worth his reported £32 million pound fee. With a seaon under his belt i expect him to get more goals this seaon, and has been our brightest player in pre season.

Subs- Tomasz Kuszczak, Ryan Giggs, Wes Brown, Michael Carrick, Anderson, Manucho, John O'shea

This could change of course with the posible signing of Dimita Berbatov from Spurs, then i believe we may play 4-3-3, losing scholes, with Rooney behind Tevez and Berbatov, though Tevez and Rooney would likely switch during the game.

  5. 1-vandersar

    2-Rio Ferdinand

    3-vidic

  6. Van de sar, Neville, Vidic, Ferdinand, Brown, Scholes, Hargreaves, Ronaldo, Giggs, Rooney, Tevez.

  7. here's my XI

VDS- experience and the touch of youth like perfection in his every save makes him a coveted GK even in his late 30s

ROONEY - Strong right leg, determined to go after every ball , but his recent duties of playing the all rounder doesnt suit him..with his skills he should be a CF ,not a second striker

TEVEZ - The argentine sensation deosnt need any intro cos he's been an instant hit among the fans since his debut..power house of energy and always focused on the ball makes him one of the best striker signings by SAF

CARRICK - The London boy known for his tall figure and accurate passing played a vital part in all of united's last season matches. seen as a replacement for keane by SAF and he took the role well.

SCHOLES - The veteran , the killer blow volley shot, the maestro in midfield , admired by all his teammates as well as outsiders makes him look young. the best in the midfield business.that's what he is..

RONALDO- The master winger since Duncan Edwards to shine for UTD after the departure of Beckham..an instant hit he was..free kick specialist makes him the most valuable  player in the world( though messi is still a debate)

GIGGS - what to say abt Giggsy.his FA cup goal dribbling past 6 defenders ..OMG..no i even took of my shirt after seeing him score that goal..even after years have passed . the veteran winger doesnt look 34..he's as young as any other player as days go by.

FERDINAND- Jaap Stam selling error by SAF was instantly forgotten when SAF signed this Defender for a record fee from leeds. one of the best CBs in the world and arguably the best in Europe as of now.

VIDIC- The mighty serbian..throwing his body at any tackles without fear..the great wall of man utd consists of 2 bricks..and he makes up as the 2nd wall after rio.

EVRA- Heinze  void was filled when the lil french man came from Monaco to impress the PT crowd with his speed and swiftness in the year and perfect crosses.

NEVILLE- though he didnt play at all last season, he is argaubly united's best RB ever..he is quick ,maybe not in the air but in crossing balls across the field and plays a captains role very well. he will shine this season for ..but will have to fight it from wes, which i sure he will do ..doesnt mean that wes aint good..both are stunning players..but SAF will sure find a solution to bown's place in the defense!

    GLORY UNITED!

  8. GK : Edwin van der Sar - still have what it takes

DEF : Rio Ferdinand - Nemanja Vidic : magnificent defending

    Patrice Evra : Attacking LB

Wes Brown : Performs well on RB

MID : Michael Carrick : a natural crosser

Paul Scholes : experienced and creative attacking-midfielder

Cristiano Ronaldo : oh come on, you know this aren't you?

    Ryan Giggs - still deadly

FW : Wayne Rooney - although rarely scored, but opens space for Ronaldo & Tevez by causing chaos on opponent's defence

Carlos Tevez : Hardworking, great finishing
