  2. Left arm Spinner, due to his perfomance

  3. He played for  IPL

    played for  Hyderabad  team

  4. Pragyan Prayish Ojha, born September 5, 1986, in Khurda is an Indian first class cricketer. Debuting in 2004/05, Ojha is a promising left-arm spinner who has represented India at under-19 level.

He finished the 2006-07 Ranji Trophy season with 29 wickets at 19.89, in just 6 games.

He plays for the Orissa, Deccan Chargers in the Indian Premier League.

On May 30th, 2008, Ojha got selected in the 15-man Indian squad for the Bangladesh tour and Asia cup.

  5. Pragyan Ojha is a good promising youngster spinner who has a agreat role in Indian cricket team in the absence of Harbhajan Singh. He is selected in ODI team by his well done performances.

  6. Pragyan Ojha is the spinner who played for the Deccan Chargers in the IPL tournament. I too didn't understand the reason for his incorporation in the ODI team. His performance wasn't that impressive. Ashoke Dinda of KKR was obviously the better choice. Dinda has the potential to become a very reliable bowler, and his talent was widely praised due to his good performance for KKR. Yes, I agree with Hoog Lee. MS Dhoni really seem to  be unwilling to even give opportunity to form a part of the national squad to the players of Bengal, and those of Sourav's team (KKR) , no matter how well they perform. Since someone had to be taken in, he chose Ojha, while the deserving player indeed was Dinda. Anti Sourav sentiments made Dhoni reluctant to even pick the young players for the ODI team  who are associated with Sourav dada in some way. So, the  real performers got neglected, and the underachievers found a place in the ODI team. And the selectors are stating that selection is done on the basis of performance! Unfortunately, their very statement is ironic.

  7. ojha selct ho geya ab so ja

  8. He played for deccan chargers in IPL,He is very tall left arm spinner,Done well in under 19 cricket and also recent ranji season As he is very young he can become good prospect for India in future.

  9. Dolly,

Pragyan is a good left arm spinner, but

I understand decision for Yousuf Pathan, but In my opinion, Ashok dinda or Manpreet Gony would be better choice over pragyan, as we already have enough spinner in the team. We need to better fast bowler for ODI as Yousuf, Chavla and Yuvraj can handle spin attack. we also have Viru as a part time spinner.

In that situation, Ashok dinda or Manpreet Gony would be better choice over Pragya. I don't think we need spinner in the team at this moment.

  10. he is a promising lef arm spinner

  11. ask those batsmen who could not read his bowling and losst their wickets

  12. He played in IPL for Hyderabad and he is selected in ODI team because of his good performance in IPL..

Major teams Deccan Chargers, Hyderabad (India), India A, India Red, India Under-19s

    Playing role Bowler

    Batting style Left-hand bat

    Bowling style Left-arm slow

    First-class 30  6592 3239 121 7/114  26.76 2.94 54.4 5 8 0

    List A 30 29 1521 1095 39 5/21 5/21 28.07 4.31 39.0 0 1 0

    Twenty20 17 16 318 390 20 3/15 3/15 19.50 7.35 15.9

  14. He played in IPL and is with Deccan Chargers.

Since it was not a winning team, he may have gone unnoticed. He is good. But in my opinion, Dinda is even better.

But then Dhoni may have a problem picking someone from Sourav's KKR team.

  15. he is left arm spinner

  16. Prajnan Ojha is a Ranji Trophy and IPL player. He played for Deccan Chargers and performed really well by giving less runs, and taking wickets.
