  1. what do you mean by "land lord" ??

well.. usual meaning of landlord is someone who owns the land and lets others stay there or use the land for farming etc...

by that definition no one is really a landlord of Pune!

Shivaji Maharaj Bhodsale was the ruler in Maharashtra who was based in Pune, Later the further generations of the Bhosale's appointed the "Peshwe"  as kind of  administrators for maharashtra region. They made a lot of developements to the city And thats when it become known to rest of India.

    BUT,

Pune has been there for ages before the Peshwe, before shivaji maharaj! ( Search "History of Pune" on Google/Yahoo ) ruled by various dynasties for years.

  3. Chhatrapati Shri Shivaji Maharaj was the first land lord of Pune.  His father Shahaji Raje Bhonsale was the Jahagirdar of Pune area. He appointed Rani Jijabai and son Shivaji Raje to take care of this area.
