Well, Geroge did win.

Napoleon conquered half the world, but ultimately lost everything because of his ego.

Washington successfully defended half a continent, and stepped down from the presidency because he did not like life in the spotlight.

Napoleon was a brilliant military commander.

Washington was a brilliant leader.

george washington may have been many things, but great military leader is not one of them.  his troops practically died of starvation and the cold.

Interesting question...

Napoleon would be the better of the two if you only looked at sheer tactical brilliance. (see Austerlitz)

However, Washington gets the nod as far as logistics and planning are concerned. One only needs to look at what Washington did at Valley Forge, as compared to Napoleon's ill-fated invasion of Russia to see that.

They are both great leaders in their own way....so;

Given equal forces and relatively equal ground, Napoleon would probably win a single battle against Washington....but Washington would ultimately win the war.
