Carlton have won more premierships than Eagles, but Eagles are doing a lot better than Carlton at the moment.

Judd, Steven, Simpsons, Scotland. Murphy, Carrazzo and more

The only good Mid eagle has is Braun, Kerr and Fletcher.

I'll give the eagles credit and say recently they would be better-although their player management needs some work,Carlton have had longer term success and would rate higher on those grounds

and on a personal note its no contest-the blue baggers win hands down-weather they are on the bottom or winning flags-that's why i barrack for them :)

If you are talking recent history, I would say the Eagles - up until a few month ago with all the Ben Cousins rubbish; but if you mean storied history, a multitude of great players, and length of participation and competition, I would have to the say the Ol' Dark Navy Blue would win hands down.

A funny question....

Blind Freddy can see that the West Coast Eagles are currently a far superior team to Carlton (Read Matt's comments) in relation to win/loss ratio.

But Carlton have been in the competition far longer & have achieved more premierships due to length of participation.

If your question relates to which is the better team administration wise; best supporters; best facilities; player behaviour etc......then the Eagles are streets ahead of Carlton!

West Coast are the better team at the moment, but in 1-2 tears the Blues are going to be a super side

Neither in my opinion - i hate them both and cant bring myself to picking either......JUST KIDDING!!!

Long term - Carlton have been the better side but its a bit unfair since WC Eagles havent been in the league as long as Carlton...

Carlton has more of a storied football club. They have had the better team in recent years and they are a true force in the AFL.

It depends, are you talking about right now ? or are you talking about the history ?

History - Carlton have been around a lot longer and have won more GF's and played in more GF's

Recently - Eagles have played in more Finals and won GF's in recent years and finished much higher than Carlton last season.

It depends where you are looking from.

If you are talking about history it would have to be Calton as they have won the most Grand Finals then any other AFL team.

If you are talking currently it would have to be West Coast. It really hurts to say that as i'm a Calton Supporter.

But we have a new coach & Judd (one of the best WC players has moved to Victoria & decided to play for the Mighty (Maybe not so mighty at the moment) Blues.

Eagles, I have no idea when Carlton last made it to the top 8. It was like a long times ago and also they have or had hottie ben Cousins in there. Hehe :)

Butttt.. You cant really compare history. WCE have only been around 20 years. So obviously blues would win in that respect. Although it would be unfair.
