Who is a better tree to be with when on a deserted island?

mango tree.....has enough leaves that i can burn to call for distress signals to rescue me.

i would gather my sustenance from the abundant sea, and water from many places in the island grounds or along the beaches, i know how to find fresh water or make fresh ones from the salt water.

Coconut tree.  It has many uses.  Leaves for roof, the trunk could serve as posts/walls for your shaft/shanty, then there's the meat as food plus its juice as water.  Then the meat can be dried under the sun and cooked to extract oil for cooking, for "hiso" to the hair and for "haplas".   And, of course, it's sturdy and may even outlive me in the island.

I'd rather be found with lots of tall coconut trees than any other tree you mentioned.

epol tree, hehe!  it means i am surely not in a philippine island so i'm in for some tourist sightseeing once I'm saved.

Pili tree. Easier to climb, the fruits are nutricious and the leaves and sap are medicinal.

BTW, banana tree is not a tree, but an herb.

I will have to say the coconut tree simply because it can provide food, shelter, and liquid sustenance.

The banana tree as such doesn'tt exist as it is not a tree.

According to some the coconut tree also produces bananas, lol.
