IN my opinion, its cotto, however i think that margarito has a very good chance in beating cotto, but cottos technical skills would be more evenly matched with floyds. Margarito has really no jab, he does throw tons of punches, but is slow on his feet, has a great chin but get hits alot, and vulnerable against mayweathers fast hands. Coto on the other hand, has gotten faster, he can box great and brawl. He has the best jab in the welterweight division, and i think that his jab would be the deciding factor against floyd. So in your opinion who is the tougher test to the p4p king?

  1. both would give floyd problems but i agree cotto would give him an even thougher fight. but only because his faster and more killed then margarito. margo would really have to chase floyd and cotto has the speed to stay in their with floyd. floyd aint stupid he knows this , thats why he dont want anything to do with cotto

  2. i agree cotto, cotto is unbeatable , and margo got beaten 4 times , so cotto is a better boxer , margo never fought a figher like cotto, and cotto did fight a fighter like margo(ricardo torres)and mayweather never fought a fighter like cotto,  but mayweather did fight a fighter like margo(castillo)

so i agree , cotto can beat margo , and cotto would guve mayweather a run for his money

  3. Cotto would be more of a problem than Margarito. PBF would do Margarito like he did corrales (RiP Chico). Pop shot him and move. A lot of people are getting ahead of themself because Cotto beat Gomez and Margrito beat Cintron. A lot of people said Cintron would give PBF a run for there money. PBF will out box Cotto if he try's to get into a boxing match. Alot of people think the pressure thing would work but that has failed. PBF has fought brawlers most of his career. Its nothing new to him. Hatton had faster foot work than Cotto but lack Defense. Cotto boxing skills give's him the edge over Hatton. People still dont get it, not saying PBF cant be beat. PBF beat guy's with smarts, adjusting to fights, mental game, Defense and Stamina. Thats the advantage he have over alot of fighters. Toe to Toe fighting is not smart. Margarito wouldn't have lost some of the fights if he would have understood that. Notice that Mayweather and his trainer, talk with each other, about whats going on in the ring. Most guy's just sit there and say yes, no and ok.

  4. The tougher test would definetely be miguel cotto even though Floyd would probably not want to fight margarito either, cotto has good skills and is a terrific pressure fighter, Floyd would have a harder time dealing with the pressure that cotto would put on him, margarito is a tough opponent but just like you pointed out, he is slow and prone to taking punches and mayweather would take advantage of that to beat him by decision, cotto on the other hand is a lot more mobile and much faster he would be a much more difficult test for mayweather because he also possesses the knock out power that could put Floyd to sleep  (that is...if he catches Floyd).....however neither fighter is technically matched against Floyd and this is the major difference between Mayweather and all the other fighters in the division, Floyd is an extremely crafty boxer, who knows how to adapt his style and defense to various opponents for instance against de la hoya he chose to be mobile on his feet  and trading punches for a short period of time while landing his punches as counter hits, against hatton he took a different approach, he waited for hatton to exhaust himself out and protected his head and then took him head on (in the hatton fight he showed everyone that he could fight on the inside with the best of them), against Ndou he fought offensively and beat him at his own game, therefore history has shown us that Floyd's adaptabilty and experience are the two factors that always carry him to victories, make no mistake this would be a very tough fight for Mayweather and he would have to bring his A game, however I would not bet against Floyd if he faced either of these two fighters.
