I am a big fan. He made the theme music to Star Wars, Indiana Jones Movies, Batman, Back to the Future, Saving Private Ryan, Superman, and countless other films that I am leaving out. He has played a huge and I do mean HUGE part of american theatrical culture. We have all heard the music of John Williams, we just aren't always aware of it.

I like him a lot as a composer as much as a conductor. And he composed many famous movie theme songs. By the way, are you the one who asked about the Wimbledon theme music composer ? Did Williams write the theme music ? Keith Mansfield of U.K has contributed theme songs for BBC, and one of them is called World Champion, played at the Wimby final this year.
