Who is a fan of Kim Ki Duk?

Question

I have seen a few films by Kim Ki Duk, the South Korean director and have found that unuuall, different and quite hard to rforget!?

I still can not figgure out what makes those films so unforgetable!

Mind you, they are not neccesarily the best films out there, but just the ones that stick!

Agrieving emotions! There is something in his films!

Have u noticed the same thing?!

Samaritan Girl

One good movie that reminds all of us what we do when we are money hungry and when we least expect it..death srikes..great movie.

The bow..OMG...a 16 yr old and 60 year old man..that is really beyond me..but liked the movie and the way the emotion felt real.

I like his movie basically because he reaches into what we think is inpossible and makes it real as day.

This one is a fan and owns several DVDs of his works.

This ones current favorite is "Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring Again..."

This one will look for "The Isle" and "The Bow".

I loved Spring, Summer.......

So simple, hardly any dialogue and yet so powerful. A beautiful masterpiece. Thanks for reminding me, I forgot I wanted to watch Samaritan girl. That's the one about the prostitute right?

OMFG!!!! i thought i was alone in this world. i LOVE him! honestly i think his movies are incredible. cause you know it makes you do a double take and really think hard of the meaning and to understand his point of view. alot of films in korea are very commercial and have similar plots going on. but his films hit reality and he may do them in somewhat of a unconventional way, it gives you that thought that emotion (like you said) and soon you get it. it just clicks. samaritan girl, the isle, and time are one of my favorites.
