personal ambition to take over the country, destroy anyone that stood in his way, and then got the whole nation to worship him for many years, with the cultural revolution and the sustained propagandized history that gets their people to still worship him

Altruism:  Lady Diana, Princess of Wales

She cared about children all over the world, in her own school when she was a teacher, and in less developed countries, encouraging attention and action at helping them,  PLUS Diana had a mission to rid the world of land-mines, to make them illegal, and to have existing ones found and removed and disarmed.
