A few months ago, i was assaulted. she was arrested, gave a statement, and was released. i contacted the da's office and they told me "they could not refute her claim of self defense" therefore they couldn't "ethically" charge her. But I looked at the self defense bill in tennessee and it states something about a person can only claim self defense when they have the right to be there. but she was at my house. she had no right to be there. i want to contact someone about this but i have no idea who.

  1. The State Attorney's Office

  2. cONTACT THE LOCAL NEWSPAPER AND TELL YOUR STORY..ALSO, REPORT THE DA TO THE STATE BAR ASSOCIATION. LOOK IT UP IN THE YELLOW PAGES, BUT MOST IMPORTANT, WHO IS ABOR THE DA'S OFFICE, WE THE PEOPLE ARE, SO START YOUR HOMEWORK, GET INVOLVED IN THE LOCAL DA RACE AND GET THAT PERSON OUT OF OFFICE.  GOOD LUCK..COMMON SENSE WILL TELL YOU THAT IF YOU DO NOT WANT SOMEONE IN YOUR HOME, CALL THE POLICE OR GO TO YOUR LOCAL CONSTABLE AND HAVE THEM DELIVER A LETTER TO THAT PERSON THAT THEY ARE NOT WELCOME.  THIS IS NICE AND LEGAL AND THAT, MY FRIEND, IS A GOOD BASIS TO GET RID OF YOUR DA.  WE ARE AMERICANS WITH RIGHTS....
