Who is ashamed to be Human?

I was very saddened to read th e latest report by the World Wildlife Foundation, of the decline of many species, in particular, polar bears, lions tigers, and many more ALL BECAUSE OF HUMAN ACTION

And while we destroy everything of beauty on this planet the Human population increases further..... Moments like this make me despise the human race, and make me wonder how much better this planet would be if the human Race had never existed

Is anyone else ashamed like me to be human. As we see all these beautiful creatures disapear and know we are to blame

Just think if there had never been humans the DoDo would still be alive

Maybe its time to have a cull of the Human Race to reduce their numbers

Sadly its too late for the Polar Bear we cant reverse that damage but we can stop more killing of land animals by making a worldwide law not to invade anymore wildlifes space.

WHAT RIGHT DO WE HAVE 2 BELIEVE THAT WE ARE MORE IMPORTANT THEN THE REST OF THE ANIMAL KINGDOM

  1. why r u bringing this up NOW?

this has been going on since like gazillion  years ago....its cuz we'r IGNORANT

  2. You are absolutely right...=/ But i personally cant call myself a human. I don't know about others.. For me, human is someone who follows the path of serenity and love. No damages, no hate, no killings, no wars are caused by him/her. Someone who can see beyond those mathematic-like formulas, also known as the right thing to do according to now society. Human is someone who managed to avoid getting lost in this jungle of horror we all call civilization. Human is someone who dies and yet manages to achieve a kind of immortality for he/she left something good behind. Did something good. Our greed and selfishness led us to see ourselves as gods, and beleive that we will leave forever, and that money is the most important thing. God did not make us like this. Remaining pure, with dignity and pride is what god's other creations achieved, yet, we greedily take advantage of this and give them nothing but pain.

All other animals gave us so much. We needed food. They gave it. We needed clothes. They gave it. We needed a partner. They gladly became our best friend.

Yet we continue to hurt them and distroy this planet, because most of us have lost control...I know it's hard, but if all of us tried to become real humans, things would be much better.........

  3. im not ashamed at all. i have no guilt nor accept any blame, because i dont believe we have the power to cause these changes that they say are happening. i also however think the gang members, drug dealers, pedophiles murders rapists and so on, are the vermine of the earth, and should be exterminated. if your so ashamed, then commit suicide if you think the earth would be better. i myself will continue to live large in my ford f-150 xlt supercrew with the chrome and leather package @ 17 mpg, my overheated in the wintertime condo, out here in the suburbs. halliulia!!!

  4. Not me.

  5. i am but i'd rather not be a slug

i wouldn't mind, however, it good ol' george W. was a slug...

  6. your ridiculous

  7. Well you certainly got a good cross section of the human psyche in your answers, right down the denial variety. Most of the answers have proved your point.

We are of equal importance to every living thing but we are too successful [arrogant] and too many.

I am very ashamed of being human.  I look around and see greed and avarice but I know I suffer the same faults to some extent. It is part of our make up.  Of course, there are some towering exceptions of people that lay down their lives for others but I have found that there are many more who will take advantage.

It now seems, with people like Gordon Brown promising to get more oil available, at a cheaper price  AND cheaper food we are doomed.  What planet is HE on?

Never mind, the World will be here for some time to come ...after it has scraped us off it's mantle,  but hopefully without homo sapiens [!!]  I am very depressed about the species that we take with us.

I used to believe in capitalism but I fear we have gone far too far globally.  Our only hope is a Carbon Quota system whereby everyone alive, say in 2000 and still alive now, is granted a Carbon Quota that can be traded.  This would help to equalise the differential between us wasteful westerners and blameless people like those living in the south seas who are losing their home due to rising sea levels.  It could redress the balnce?

Keep thinking  and fighting. Join Greenpeace or similar and speak up at every opportunity.

    Regards

  8. Why is it that when we think of wild life it is always the big cats and bears, etc?Does nobody think of the small birds and animals that are at risk?. the house sparrow could become extinct in 10 years if we do not make a move now.

The reason mostly is, no hedgerows for nests for the hedge sparow, and UPVC instead of timber under the edge of the roofs. No more holes for over flow pipes where they used to get in and nest. The finches are also endangered. Where are

all the front gardens that used to nurture them, under paving bricks. Please start creating sancturies for these lovely song bids now, it`s so important. This is something we can all do to  preserve some of our wild life.

  9. Not me.  You people have too much money and too much time on your hands to be worried about such things.  Some countries are destitute and searching to find money to feed their families and you talk about the shame of being human.

    I am ashamed for you.

  10. I don't think it is so much the human, but all the things we acomplished and is so great for us. Just think is animals could talk, whut would the world be like today? Another acomplishment is how we discover all these forestes, and whut we can do to them. Can you imagine, just like, the smallest things that we acomplished, how BIG the world and all it's nature loving things would be now today?

  11. Why should you be ashamed of being a human?

Put your energy instead into trying to correct what we have done wrong.

I only think we should be ashamed if we continue to do nothing to stop humans destroying the planet.

  12. I think things will happen to cull us, some disease or something.  Possibly even released on purpose by the unknown people that are really in control.

But it really is amazing isn't it, how rubbish humans are.  So destructive, so wasteful, we just have not learned or evolved.

  13. I'm ashamed of other humans but not myself because i do everything i can to protect animals and the environment.

this world would be a better place if we didn't exist tho...

  14. you can not blame the entire human race for actions that are invariably out of the everyday person control.

to stop what you are complaining about, society woudl have to stop being so materialistic and be kinder to our environment and each other, some of us manage it , but obviously not everybody and not every gvernment.

the only thing we can do, is our own personal best, this will give us some peace of mind. for ourselves at least, but we cant control  the free will of every single being on the planet.

  15. wellllllllllllll  i don't think I'm better than the animals and im not ashamed im a human being cause im a nice one,all the nasty human beings are the ones that should be ashamed if your in a blood thirsty mood cull them :) and Ive news for you it wasn't us made the dodo extinct it was something else i know i watched ice age and it explained it all :)

  16. sorry to say, but **** the polar bears. i understand you feel for animals, the earth, and other worldly things, but there is a point you have to limit yourself to and involvement otherwise you are going to be a miserable person.  thats why people are ignorant, because they've found a type of happiness and would rather not dwell on the truth's.  its sad but its true and you either have to fight it or submit your beliefs, and its a h**l of a lot easier and comfortable submitting than fighting against odds for most people.

focus on something better and immediate, like family, friends, and money. when you're rich and have people who support you, then do like the rest of the rich people do...donate to charity and interest groups =)

edit: i don't know why my answer received negative response. so if we save an animal from going extinct, what difference would that make? do you feel fulfilled? do you feel good? has it brought you peace and happiness in your heart? lol. i can understand for some people (sadly) in my opinion it will. and if thats the way you feel about the topic, then act! should every garbage man around the world act so drastically to have a cull around the world to eliminate people who litter? my conclusion is that the original post is drastic and is over-sensitive. i see and understand your perspective, if you are going to do something about it then do it, just dont cry about it. i mean we are not the ones shooting polar bears or polluting the world with factories and whatnot lol.

so like i said you can dedicate your time and energy to saving these animals or you can say **** em and fulful your life in other non-miserable ways. like become a doctor who plays golf and drives a ford cobra and goes about his life earning money and caring for his family and enjoying life rather than sulking for polar bears.

  17. i am just ashamed that some other people are human, i know that i will make a diffrence to the planet when my time comes and i am given the oppotunity to do so.

  18. I'm not! Top of the food chain is the place to be.

    * There is no "scientific consensus" on global warming

    * Climate is always changing – with or without man

    * The Medieval Warm Period was significantly warmer than temperatures today – and was a golden age for agriculture, innovation, and lifespan

    * Most of Antarctica is actually getting colder

    * Hurricanes are not getting worse – our tendency to build houses in their path is getting greater

    * Many big businesses lobby for global warming policies that will increase their profits – and our costs

    * The media only recently abandoned the "global cooling" scare

    * The real agenda behind the "global warming" scare? A massive expansion of government control over the economy and our lives

  19. I'm not ashamed to be human or me. The people who deserve to feel ashamed don't give a c**p. I'm not god, I can't fix them. Do what you can when you can and try to be positive instead of so negative. If you go down that road its one step from handing out the yellow stars and herding people you don't like on to the cattle trucks.

  20. I can think so there for I have rights other  animals do not.

  21. yea I think it's pretty bizarre that we are not more in tune with our planet. There seems to be this hardheaded ignorant attitude bent on self destruction & no one is prepared to take responsibility for their actions. Why take it to the limit when you know what the consequences are. We need to chill a bit & contemplate our futures for a while! & ban cars,,, wait we cant do that? Seems to me, that we might be dangerously out of control.
