I'm a Japanese resident. Fujisawa, Casino Drive's trainer, has decided NOT to bring a Japanese jockey to Belmont. Now he is looking for a local jockey. Who do you think the best for riding Casino Drive to win (or come 2nd to Big Brown)?

  1. mike smith

  2. Edgar Prado....he needs to get a jockey who can literally get around the oval blindfolded, and Prado knows the track as well as any of the top jocks available.

  3. The pit BOSS LOL

  4. Edgar Prado. He's stopped Triple Crown attempts twice with Belmont wins.  In 2002 he rode Sarava in the Belmont, the longest shot to ever win (70+-1).  His 2004 Belmont win was on  another long shot, Birdstone (36-1).

  5. Mike Smith.

  6. Prado....he knows the Belmont track better than anyone, and won the Belmont with the inferior horse Birdstone to beat the triple-crown candidate Smarty Joines in 2004.

  7. id say either Rafael Bejarano or Garrett Gomez.

  8. I like to see Robbie Albarado get the mount.I think he is the best jockey in the country.

  9. If you're serious about taking your knowledge and understanding of blackjack to the next level, I strongly recommend http://www.8xm.net

  10. I really like Garrett Gomez... he is the defending eclipse award jockey and set a record for number of stakes wins last year.  He's based at Belmont now, so he knows the track.  He's a great jockey... he's really good about seeing how the race is developing and he knows where he needs to be... he's not afraid to take small holes for his horses.

I like Edgar Prado so I wouldn't have a problem with them picking him to ride.  Garrett is my favorite though.

  11. My choice would also be Edgar Prado

  12. I would try to get J.R. Velazquez. He is doing slightly better than Prado is at Belmont right now plus he won the Belmont Stakes last year on Rags to Riches beating Curlin with a masterful ride... If he can't get him due to contractual obligations then I would take Edgar Prado who has won the Belmont Stakes twice.
