Who is better, Charlie Whitehurst or Billy Volek?

I saw Volek play last year and he didn't impress me. Should Whitehurst get the backup?

Billy Volek has arguably been on of the best backups in the league.  In 2004 he filled in for McNair for 8 games and threw 18 TDs, 10 INTs, and 2486 YDs.

He has seen very little action since 2005 though, so I don't know how he's doing now.  I don't think Whitehurst has thrown a pass in an NFL game yet, so Volek deserves it until he loses it (however a backup loses his job, I really don't know).

billy volek is a good backup...probably to his demise as i don't know that he is impressive enough to be a starter.  it is hard to be a backup b/c you don't get the reps to better your situation, but volek has proven a valuable bench asset.
