Who is better? Dikembe Mutombo or Alonzo Mourning?

Im tempted to say Mourning, but Dikembe has had a better overall career. Second most blocks in NBA history is a pretty good feat. And consider that hes still goin at 42

Talent wise: Mourning.  He is more explosive, a better rebounder, and had/has a much better offensive game.

Career wise: Mutumbo, hands down.  Unfortunately, Mourning has not been able to stay healthy.  Plus, he relies too heavily on his athleticism, so, his career can not last as long as Mutumbo's, because he relies on his size and length.  Plus, Mutumbo has been DPY four times, compared to Mourning's two.

If they were in the same draft class, and I had to draft one, it would be Mourning, because there is not much way to predict which will stay healthy.

These are horrible choices. Calvin Booth is the real deal. Booth is averaging 0.8 ppg, 1.2 rpg, and 0.3 apg.

while mutombo has a defensive advantage but less offensive skills,,

but i choose zo coz he is a led heat in most of his career in the playoffs as the main guy..

if not for his kidney transplant, his team cud win at least 1 ship durin his time as a leader.

with Kukoc as 6th option. but when they trade Ratliff and Kukoc for Deke the sixers startin losin sum close game and even though the sixers went as far as Finals, its not because mainly the presence of Deke but it was all AI. Kukoc experience and 6th man role could have made a difference for that series.

But Mutombo on his Prime was grabbing tons of rebounds and blocks!!

I remember about 5 or 6 years ago when he played for Atlanta.. If I'm correct... He had 29 rebounds in 1 game!!!

And he's 2nd behind Olajuwon in all-time blocks.

This guy is over 40 and can still block some stuff!!

Dikembe had a great career taking the second greatest blocker title.

Plus Dikembe will be remembered for his kindness and charity work. He always cared more about people in need than anything else, he was a nice player if you played with him but scary to play against
