Messi once said play for the club on the front of your jersey and they will remember the name on the back. When Messi gets the ball and makes a play or dribbles a defender, he doesn't showboat, he just gets the job done for his team. Ronaldo plays for himself, doing unnecessary stepovers and moves. He likes to please the crowd. Both are good players and you need team players and crowd pleasers in soccer. I think messi helps his team more, but its because they have different styles.

Christi currently although Messi will most probably improve with age and therefore inherit Ronaldos crown.

Because, at club level, he not only plays in a league that has better tactical (and thus tougher) defending, but, at international level, he's had better performances for Argentina than C.Ronaldo has had playing for Portugal.

a.k.a. Messi struts his stuff for both club and country.

C.Ronaldo is only halfway there.

Whenever C.Ronaldo eventually joins Real Madrid, we'll see what he's really made of.

If Messi were to ever join a Premier League side, the EPL fanboys on this and every other message board would be out 'en masse' asking how anyone could dare not say he was the greatest player to have laced on a pair of football boots.

The Champions League matchup between Barca and Man U speaks for itself. Messi outclassed Ronaldo in BOTH matches. He was clearly the most dangerous player on the field. Ronaldo only proved to be dangerous on a couple of occasions.

I have basic cable so im limited to what I can see of CR but if I had to choose it would be Messi but thats only b/c I have seen Messi play and b/c Im hispanic.
