Who is better Shawn Johnson or Micheal Phelps?

i think phelps is good at his thing and johnson is good at hers phelps is a killing machine and kicks *** and is a role model for me shawn johnson has good technique GREAT power and energy and of course she is smoking hot so they both are great

it is hard to compare between 2 who play 2 completly different sport but by achievements Michael phelps has achieved more Golden medals

Shawn Johnson all the way, it is much tougher to be a gymnast vs. being a swimmer, and plus I don't care for swimming or Phelps.

Shawn is great and who knows, in seven years she might be even better in her sport than Phelps is now.... But at the moment, NO WAY... Nastia Lukin has been the best USA gymnast during these games, and even before this Olympics they were considered very close in talent.

Phelps is lilke Tiger Woods... so much better than everyone else in his sport.

Because she's only 16 we don't know how great she'll be.. but she has to actually collect the medals first, to be considered the best!

I think they are both great at what they do. I do however feel that Michael Phelps did an awsome job at the Olympics this year. To me he is the better athlete at this Olympics

It's like apple and oranges that question, shawn is fab at gymnastics and Michael phelps is incredible at swimming, the way to compare would be 2 swimmers or 2 gymnastics people.

Like Ryan Lochte and Michael Phelps, and Shawn Johnson and nastia liuken...

and the better person... well michael phelps went to jail for drinking and driving, but shawn didn't. but both are amazing!

Shawn Johnson is: pretty (i'm not g*y), fast and strong won no gold medals but got a 2 silvers.

Phelps is: hottish, extremely strong, and won 13 gold medals for olympics.

in the end michael phelps and shawn johnson are te same to me... but later in the years idk...............

This goes two ways.

Shawn is better in gymnastics and Phelps is better in swimming! Your asking us to compare dogs to cats.

But, they are both EXTREMELY talented. For being 16 and 19 and doing that good is awesome.

Also, look at Shawn.... she's modest, nice and pretty. (no I'm not g*y)

And look at Phelps... he's tough, persistent and cool.

Once again your trying to compare friggin' whales to mice!

I think Michael Phelps is better because he completely dominates his sport, even with lots of tough competition, and Shawn Johnson has a lot of compitition and is good at all the events, but doesnt get gold every time like Phelps does.

Being 16 doesn't make her great..most gymnast are that age (most female gymnast)..they peak at that age..their aren't many 20 something girl gymast because they tend to do better younger. Most of the guy gymnast are in their 20's, they tend to do better around those ages.

Another reason she is good but not great is becuase she hasn't won that much metals in the olmypics. Phelps has 8 gold..14 metals total.

In china in every race that he did he was 1st and broke records. But for Shawn Johnson she had only recieved 2nd place twice.
