Who is better- Xavier Nady or Jason Bay?

Well. Jason Bay is Canadian so I gotta go with the canuck personally but Nady is also a great player and is very underated. Jason Bay is also a more complete player.

If you look at their stats, you'll see that J-Bay's got a lifetime OPS of .892 and Nady's at .803.  With those numbers, it's obvious that Bay is the superior player.

i think they are the exact same player

but even as a yankee fan i have to say this and since he's been here nady has been the most consistant yankee but id have to go with bay because he is younger

Jason Bay, other than average he definitely has the better stats.

Look at last night:

Nady - 1 for 3 with a walk, no runs, no RBI

Bay -  2 for 4, 1 run scored, 2 RBI

Red Sox 7, Yankees 3. Advantage, Bay.

Well, Jason Bay is better because he has more HRs, RBIs, runs scored, more triples, more doubles, more stolen bases, more hits in clutch situations, high on-base percentage, less errors when fielding, higher slugging percentage....the only reason Nady has the same Batting average as Bay is because most of Nady's hits are singles, while most of Bay's hits are extra-bases or home runs....see the difference

I would prefer Jason Bay because he has had a better career, Nady has been up and down like crazy. He is having  a great year so if I were feeling a risk reward situation i would take Nady.

Jason Bay, big time.  Nady is a number 8,9 hitter at best
