Page was excellent in his time, but his skills would be considered unremarkable these days.

Hendrix. Hendrix was a pioneer of guitar playing. Guitarists around the world wouldn't be playing the way they do now if Hendrix hadn't come up with his unique style. There's a little bit of Hendrix in almost every guitar solo you hear, even now.

You? I need some basis upon which to make a comparison...

First off, it's JIMI Hendrix, not Jimmy - So that rules you out as a possibility.

Secondly, it's JIMMY page, not Jimmi, So that just kicks you off the map all together.

Thirdly, you can't compare the two, it's like comparing an Apple to an Orange; they're both fantastic, but they're so different you can't compare them.

Jimmy page is better than jimmy hendrix. But eric clapton is even better and so is jeff beck.
