I dont think there is any comparison between the two, but your question does not ask that, when Sir Viv was playing there was no 20/20 and even the limited over game was less developed, so Viv would not play the slogs that Afridi plays, therefore was not as prolific at hitting them , but from a purist point of view , Vivs sixes were of a higher quality , shot wise.

There is no comparison between them brother.Even you know that.

Shahid Afridi's batting is 10 minutes of madness.His 20-30 quick runs make no difference.Very rarely he plays a match winning knock with the bat (say once in 25 matches).

Viv was better at hitting sixes.

If Tendulkar wanted to hold the record for most sixes then he could have hit 500 sixes.

But that record is of no significance.

What matters is how many runs you score and how consistently you do that.

Afridi's six hitting ability is OVERRATED IMO mate, Richards could take a game away from the opposition time after time with his superb brutal batting. Richards is a match winner whilst Afridi is a pinch-hitter.
