Arjuna is the better captain. They are both good but Arjuna could get under the oppositions skin.

Mahela is a beneficiary of the presence of great players which Arjuna did not have. But Arjuna created the current greats.

Arjuna is an ideal captain who worked for present times as well as for the future.

Ranatunga was a selfish captain, all he cared about was getting one over the other side, he would use "tactics" to sometimes try and unsettle the oppositions team. Although Ranatunga was a successful captain, he never created a team spirit.

Jaywardena seems to have a good relationship with other teams and his own players, he has created a good set-up. He is a strong captain who will do anything for his team. Jaywardena has had good sucess with Sri Lanka (world cup finalist)

In my opinion, when Jaywardena's career is over he will be renowned as Sri Lanka's best ever captain. He will lead Sri Lanka to further success
