They are equally matched. Like Smith is better in ODI and KP in tests. But I prefer Graeme Smith. He is a good Captain and has not created a controversy so far.

Both are indeed the best.Kevin Pietersen is 27 & he has sored over 3500 runs in tests & over 2500 runs in ODIs at an average of 50 in the both.That is not at all a easy thing to achieve.He has scored at a great strike rate & he just came in 2005 & has played a key role for England cricket in past 3 years winning them many many matches.

Where Graeme Smith who bcam a captain at a very early stage is at his best as well.He has scored over 5000 runs in both tests & ODIs,Smashed over 50 half centuries at a good average of 50 in both & as done a great job as a captain & as a opening batsman.Both have done very well but whilst,I would give it to kevin Pietersen as he has improved his team to a better level making his team still a better team.

Greame Smith....he is an aggressive batsman, a good captain and overall a good player.

Kevin Pietersen is also a good aggressive batsman and a player but don't know about his captaincy skills.

So for now, my choice is Greame Smith.
