Definitely my favorite bowler in the world would be Muralidharan.He is one of the greatest aspects of this fantastic game and is a legend.He has given the world the most impressive wickets and records tally in the history of the game.

Shane Warne will also will be in my list because he turned the ball more than anyone ever will and he brought back leg spin to the game when it was a dying art.

Muralidharan can be taken as a first choice by his wickets tally but there is much more than that.As a human being he is modest, polite and is a well behaved cricketer.

Warne is a bit of a bad boy.There ain't nothing wrong with that but sometime people do not prefer that.Warne is a great player and plays the mind games.

Murali is a genius when it comes to spinning the ball and placing it in the right places.

Also Murali is the fastest runner between wickets!

So Murali is fractionally better.The fraction is 1/1000000000.

It's Shane Warne

Warne brought so much to cricket, he was the pioneer of leg-spin (Before Warne kids used to only bowl fast). He has more variations than Murali, he turned the ball more than Murali ever did. He was the kind of cricketer that the public wanted to see he was charming and charismatic, and he always faced his problems head on. Murali when attacked against goes into a shell a little bit, BUT Warne like players attacking him !! because he is smart and he knows he can get them out.

YES ! Murali has the better statistics BUT Warne's the better cricketer.

Statistically Muralidharan may be, however, Shane Warne is far better and won far more matches single handedly than Murali ever has or will.

The other factor and perhaps the more telling is the fact that Warne could take wickets all throughout the world, not just on the Sub-Continent like a majority or Murilies wickets come from.

As usual though, KooKee has hit the nail on the head. The overwhelming factor is the mere fact that Warne has brought far more viewers and generated far more interest in cricket world wide not just in one or two nations.
