  1. I believe it's spelled 'Bette' and she invented Liquid Paper :)

  2. Liquid Paper - Bette Nesmith Graham (1922-1980)

Bette Nesmith Graham invented Liquid Paper.

She is also mother of Michael Nesmith of the Monkees.

It was originally called "mistake out", the invention of Bette Nesmith Graham, a Dallas secretary and a single mother raising a son on her own. Graham used her own kitchen blender to mix up her first batch of liquid paper or white out, a substance used to cover up mistakes made on paper.

In 1956, Bette Nesmith Graham started the Mistake Out Company (later renamed Liquid Paper).

By 1967, it had grown into a million dollar business.

Graham died in 1980, six months after selling her corporation for $47.5 million.

  3. The others are correct and her son Michael Nesmith was one of the " Monkees" and I think he was the only one that could actually play an instrument when they first started.

He later went into country and Western music. I am not sure what he is doing now but he would be about 60-62

  4. She invented white-out.(correction fluid for typing)
