Question:

Who is convinced that human caused global climate change is happening?

Just a survey to see how many people believe that humans are drastically changing the planet's climate. The scientific community seems rather divided on the subject. The Woods Hole Research Center http://www.petitionproject.org/

Al gore was awarded the Nobel prize for his efforts in increasing awareness of global warming. Some doubt is cast on him due to the fact he has set himself to profit considerably from concern about global warming though. Some people even believe that money may have influenced the decision to award him that prize.

So, how many people believe that global warming is a concern and being caused by humans, and how many believe otherwise?

  1. Global warming is a hoax.  And yes, Al Gore is profiting from it.

  2. I dont think we have anything to do with it.

  3. If an ant falls in the ocean, does it have an impact?  I am sure it does.  Trying to gauge that impact is a little bit difficult since it is buried in the background.  Those that fear a tidal wave from that ant are just being paranoid.

  4. I think that the climate change has definately been affected by humans.

I don't see how this can be a haux. This year has been the weirdest year in terms of seasons. If you don't come from a place that has all 4 seasons you might not have noticed. We had no spring or fall. It was pretty much a horrible winter and then it became summer. One day it was negative 14 (celcius) and the next it's positive 20. It doesn't make sense.

  5. The evidence is not conclusive. Lately there has been talk of a new ice age due to sunspot inactivity. Periods of low sunspot activity are called minimums by solar astronomers and they are correlated with cold periods and ice ages on earth. We have had 4 years of low sunspot activity since 2004. If we go another 16 years we are in good danger of a cold period or an ice age.

  6. Man has been changing local climates all over the world for probably thousands of years ,by changing forests into deserts

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

And there is a big climatic difference between the two extremes

Genghis Kahn burned all the forests and filled the wells with sand ,that sure changed the climate in whole countries at a time

The deforestation of Spain to build the Spanish Armada changed the climate over there

The same way the building of the Phoenician fleet deforested Lebanon which is now a hot desert ,like the Sahara ,large parts of which used to be forests .

But one cannot deforest on the equator because replanting trees with out water under the hottest Sun is very difficult.

But we are the best at changing climates than any one else before us ,by exchanging forests for concrete and tar ,and large scale mono culture farming with out trees ..

And the Mexican indigenous people deforest large parts of their mountain slopes for plots to grow corn, to feed their large families of around 15 kids average .

All old people agree that there are less clouds hanging over the mountains ,less rains ,and less water in the rivers ,then when they were young .

The days are now hotter and their winters are much colder ,And they have many cases recently of people who have frozen to death

They were, the first to ADMIT that they are changing their climate.I know I interviewed many

These kind of climatic changes are happening all over the world

Take a look at Northern China which is now a dust bowl impossible to grow anything or even live there ,

Whilst before it was a thriving agricultural region ,and before that it was forests, the climate has been totally changed there

due to unsustainable agriculture ,using Chemicals and with overgrazing grasslands turning them into dessert

In Africa some rivers have dried up because so many of the forests have gone in places ,because of expanding populations ,this also results in different climatic conditions locally.

And did not the farmers change the climate in central USA during the 20ties with the straight lined plowing ,turning the country into a dust bowel.

Global warming is an additional ball game

No one who knows the facts can possibly say we do not affect climatic conditions .

Only ignorance and dishonesty can,and the overwhelming desire to absolve humanity from any guilt,so that some unscrupulous people can continue to behave like Pigs in Paradise,http://byderule.multiply.com/journal/ite...

  7. Until hard scientific proof is provided..... NOT guesses..... I see no reason to jump on the "Man-Did-It" global warming bandwagon!

  8. There is a myth that the scientific community is divided over AGW. They are not. The following organizations support AGW theory...National Academy of Sciences, American Geophysical Union, American Institute of Physics, Geological Society of America, NASA, NOAA, Royal Society and on and on...

The OISM is not the picture of credibility....

  9. TROLL !!!!

There are two main institutes who are divided about the color of the sky

    * The alliance of the yellow sky thinks the sky is yellow. They have a signature with 31,072 scientists (includes my diplomed carpenter and non verifiable scientists).

    * The common sense institute thinks the sky is blue

    So it´s half half

  10. Definately caused by humans!!!

  11. i'm not

  12. global warming isnt caused by humans. well for the most part, except for methane and that sort. its mostly caused by out inventions, such as the car and that sort. but yes, i believe in global warming.

  13. to be truthfully honest im not worried about it. Its just another change we will have to adapt to. I also dont believe humans caused it. i think its a natural proccess that happens every so often, yes we may have sped it up a few hundred years but its all part of life.

  14. This isn't a subject I take lightly. I've done my homework my stand is that we have very little impact. In fact, I think it is rather egotistical of humans to think they have such a huge impact on the planet. That isn't to say we shouldn't be responsible while we're here. I once watched a show that compared our time here to that of a pimple on the face of the planet. The earth was here long, long before we were and it will be long after we are gone. We are just a tiny mark and make much less of an impact than we think.

Global warming is a political tool and apparently a good one. Al Gore is an idiot and a hypocrite.

  15. Definelty humans.  We are the ones releasing carbon dioxide in the air by building factories and cars.  If you would like to learn more about Global warming, please visit:

Thanks, and I hope this helps!

  16. I think Amelia said it best, but, in my own words, it may be possible that the Earth is warming, but I don't believe that humans have anything to do with it. All these global warming scare tatics are used for the financial benfit of Al Gore and his buddies.

If the planet is warming, I beleive it is due to the natural cycle of Earth and there is nothing we can do about, except crank up the air conditioner.

  17. H.A.A.R.P.  GOOGLE IT

  18. I am not worried about it, but the idiots that keep on trying to scare us and make money off of it.  Carbon taxes would be an economic downfall for the taxpayer. The Economy and fuel prices are the biggest worries we have.  I think the Earth is just in a cycle.  Al Gore is just sore that he did not win the presidency and this is his way of getting back at everyone and getting attention.

  19. idk about every else but i KNOW were the cause of global warming and even if ppl think we arent then there just not going to do anything and cross fingers? RETARDS get real and try at least try to save the planets, they dont want to be the casue because they dont WANt to change thier lives but ur grandchilren depend on ur actions

  20. Not me...I'm all for not going green.
