Namaskaar - Dhoni says "Its a youngsters game format"

Namaste - Sachin says "Its not about how old you are it's the performances & the technique to bat"

So, what are your thoughs of this "age" group for 20-20 overs?

Mcgrath is 38 & bowls excellent.

Sanath is 38+ & bats beyond the boundary lines.....

& many near you.

  1. Both are correct! We all 've seen some seniors (not all senior cricketer) are not performing well in 20-20 format! So 20-20 in that case favours youngsters but we also 've seniors like Sanath, Pollock & McGrath who are doing very well in IPL, in this case Sachin is right!

  2. mate  , Get ur facts Right

    Dhoni NEVER said like that

stick to your country mate, dont post extra things,I'm reading news papers too

he said "its not age , Fitness is important for any player "

  3. Cricket in any form cannot only be limited to youngsters. You said it, just look at Glen and Sanath. Its your attitude and mental approach to the game. No one plays cricket to end up failing.

  4. Dude!! Did u see Sanath's 114 knock?

How can anyone say that 20-20 is a youngsters game?

SRI LANKAN CRICKET ROX!!!! Especiallly Sanga and Mayya!!!!

Cricket, whether international or domestic or just a family game -- transcends age and gender...I'm 14 and a girl...and i absolutely luv Cricket...especially LANKAN CRICKET...

nd wen is SANGA playing? He's bin injured for soo long.

  5. I agree with Sachin....performance is what matters

  6. hmmmmmmmmm

Nice Sachin is not bad, He did not well in some games in IPL so far. But his Captaincy is so well because mumbai indians are playing well after his debut in the team.

    Sanath is on hot........

Dhoni also captaining his team so well.....

But this is a game for Talented players............

  7. 20-20 is for the energetic batting/bowling players.

  8. im gonna agree with sachin on this one....like u said mcgrath is bowling well and lets not forget pollock from the mumbai indians.....he has been bowling extremely well too. another player is shane warne...he has been bowling quite well plus he was pretty good with bat during some games. so i dont think its a matter of age...but rather a matter of experince, talent and form.

  9. Well i agree with sachin as in any format of the game talent matters not the age.

  10. BOTH ARE WRONG.

I am saying -  Its a youngsters game who are really performing..

Remember age is a factor for performance.. and just because someone is young we cannot conclude that the person can perform well.. Its a combination of performance and age..

  11. I think it all depends on your level of fitness. As you said, McGrath is doing well, but Pidgie has always been fit & basically injury free, but other players his age struggle to keep up. So I don't think age has much to do with it, it's just fitness.

  12. there is no question that sachin is wrong..

    he is very right!!

and infact the stats speaks for it..

let it be sanath or mcgrath(both 38+)..

on there day they can turn the match in there favour..

  13. wats the difference between being young and old.......

    you are still a cricketer..............

    i think Sachin's absolutely right............

even old players play well,,,,, and of course,,,,, they have a lot of experience and maturity which goes wid them in any format of the game of cricket.........

  14. i agree with sachin because age is no limit for games.sachin still is the best and he is right.

  15. sachin

  16. I am aiways the supporter of Sachin.there is no matter of age

  17. With full respect to the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, one must say that he IS a bit wrong in his statement. So far in the IPL, the young Indian players have been the main differences between teams. While the Royals have many good young stars, the Chargers hardly have any. The ones who have made their mark have generally been youngsters like Ashoke Dinda, Laxmi Shukla and Wriddhiman Saha for the Knight Riders, Pragyan Ojha and Rohit Sharma for the Chargers, Asnodkar, Yousuf Pathan and Kaif for the Royals, Kohli for the Royal Challengers, Parthiv Patel and of course Dhoni for the Super Kings, Nehra and Uthappa for the Indians, Sreesanth and Pathan for the King's XI:Punjab, Gambhir and Yomahesh for the Daredevils etc, and many more. However, when we talk about the seniors, there have been just a few stand-out performances. Pollock, Jaysuria, Warne, Ganguly and Gilchrist to some extent, McGrath, Hayden Hussey and some others have been useful, but the majority including Tendulkar himself, Dravid, Styris, Afridi, Gibbs, Agarkar, Zaheer, Kumble, Harbhajan, Muralitharan, Symonds, Ponting, Hodge and many others have not performed to expectations. They have been unable to show any willingness to fight. So, their teams have lost mainly. Thus, it can be said that young blood is needed to win T-20's.

  18. i think sachin is right

i don't know why is dhoni after the seniors ,i am such a big fan of dhoni but now i am feeling bad

  19. I seem to agree with Sachin. It is all about playing and playing well.

Dhoni talks a bit too much. I liked him but he has become too arrogant. He cannot bat like either Sachin or Sourav. Lady luck shines on him.

Namaskar Furisio. Good to see you back.

  20. Sachin

    Sachin Sachin

    Sachin Sachin Sachin

    Sachin Sachin Sachin Sachin

    Sachin Sachin Sachin Sachin

    Sachin Sachin Sachin Sachin

    Sachin Sachin Sachin Sachin

    Sachin Sachin Sachin Sachin

    Sachin Sachin Sachin Sachin

    Sachin Sachin Sachin Sachin

    Sachin Sachin Sachin

    Sachin Sachin

    Sachin

    All the way.

  21. Sachin Tendulkar is the person, who I believe is correct in this issue. Selection of players in all forms of the game should be done on the basis of performance, and not on the basis of age. It's true that some of the seniors hasn't been successful in the IPL, but I think it's due to the lack of their experience of playing T20. We all did see how well Jaysurya, a seniors player did against Chennai Super Kings. Ironically, Dhoni saw that marvellous innings from Jaysurya right infront of his own eyes. Warne, Mcgrath, Gilchrist etc are just some of the senior players who have done a decent jobs for their respective teams.

  22. Sachin is right

    Its all about performance

  23. Well, i think that Sachin & Dhoni both are correct in participation for a 20-20 game as per the age because game has no age bar. The game requires all that is a good & excellent performance from its players which both can give at a time as seen in the recent games. So there's no point to discard anyone of them as per their age for a game which needs to show a good all round performance.

  24. i agree with u

  25. Sachin is right u can see the performance of Shaun P, Sanath & Macgrath in the IPL20-20

  26. Sachin is correct in this as there is no age bar for any game till you have a performance for it. If scared or no performance, people starts like youngster.. or .....

  27. Sachin is right

  28. No matter about how old they are but its the spirit of the game which is in abundant in sachin as well as doni!

  29. Well its never about the age, it has been, it is and it will always be about the performance and technique even if its a game like 20-20...Sanath and Glen are showing and proving that its Experience, Performance and Technique that matters not the age.

when Tendulkar started playing Dhoni was probably Running around Naked! and now that he has made as a Captain ( thanks to Sachin who put his name out to board) he is running around telling that its game for Youngsters.
