both r good in their own way their batting styles r diff. but i would always rate jayasuria, the fittness the batting and the bowling and the feilding sanath is the better than saurav. I am indian but  before that a cricket fan and BCCI is a private body hence nothing to do with india

He is more consistent in test & ODI's and even though Jayasuirya can produce more sparkling innnings than Ganguly, Ganguly performs on a more consistent basis than Jayasuriya.

Definitely Sourav Ganguly. He is a much more of an experienced player and he is good at all parts of the game whether it comes to bowling, batting or fielding.

Jaya is great at times but Ganguly (Dada) is the better one. Since Dada's return expecially, the consistency and temperament that he play's with has been exceptional. He may not have hit it off big-time in the IPL yet, but notice the 'yet'! Once he gets his eye in he can murder the bowlers, expecially spinners because the IPL gives the licence to slog to some extent!
