Who is deeply disappointed about the Manny Ramirez trade?

well we got jason bay out of it so its not like we got rid of manny and diddent get another bat that will hit 30+ HR, bay is no manny but he is no distraction, a huge upgrade in the outfield, has speed (more then manny)  can hit, and is a lot younger

You should be happy as h**l that Manny is out of Boston.  He didn't want to be there anymore.  He's a god awful defender, Bay is much  better.  He doesn't hustle, Bay does.  If I were a Red Sox fan I'd be happy as h**l to have Manny out and Bay in.

I'm deeply encouraged by the Manny trade as a Dodger fan.  With the best pitching in baseball and a lineup finally filling its holes, this could be special.  Too bad the Sox had to run him out of Boston, but that's their problem.  LA got Blake and Ramirez practically for free.

Sox fans are hilarious; they worship at the feet of guys like Nomar, Manny, and Ortiz until they ship them out.  Then they talk like its a relief to have the player out of town ("no more distractions," "finally some defense.")

Please, Bay is great, but don't get delusional: you're glad to ship a HOFer because of high fives and defense in LEFT FIELD?  Hahaa

Bay can actually play defense. Manny just filled a void. Bay wont drive in as many runs or hit them out like manny, but he can still produce. Plus, no more cell phones in the monster, or other off/on-field distractions.

Don't you remember '04?  Everyone was so shocked and upset that Theo traded Nomar.  So many people thought he had given away any chance of a post season appearance. I mean, Nomar for Mankievich and Co?  Don't you recall how that turned out?

Manny had NO intention of playing to win, so he had to go.  It was a good move!
