Not saying that this is the beginning of a winning season, but it seems to me that they are now a TEAM...thanks to all the guys and a cheer out to Jesse Lumsden who respected his teammates in all his plays...comments?

  1. This Is horible mass is starting to play good. GO ARGO'S

  2. After seeing what the Ti-Cats did, I'm excited for the whole league.  Suddenly we may have had the doormat ripped out from under the other seven teams which could open up some fantastic competition for the rest of the season.

However, I will withhold judgement until I see the Ti-Cats do it again.  If they do, we could be in for a wild ride to November's playoffs.  Sometimes all these teams need to get rolling is a little confidence boost.

  3. I think given the fact the Bombers really pissed them off in the previous game was perhaps the biggest motivaton for them.  I'm not a big Ti-cat fan but I love Lumsden.

  4. No, but now they have something to build on...dont get too excited about lumbsten yet, he only has had 1 really good game and he hasnt stood the test of time yet.....every team can have an off night and the bombers probably fell asleep as some do.......some credit to hamilton though, they showed up to play, but the bombers didnt....wait to see how hamilton plays against toronto, then you can get excited....im hopin they make the playoffs and either Boronto or Montreal misses out :-)

  5. Well, I'm glad they got the win, that's important. But what was more important was that Lumsden proved once again that if you give him the ball, he will produce. Hamilton hasn't seemed to learn this lesson this year.

I think the biggest problem with Jason Maas has been that he's too quickly dumping it off to his second or third read. I mean, it can't be that all of our passing plays are designed to gain 4-5 yards. I feel that Maas is overlooking his first read, his deep read, too often, and relying too heavily on the second or third reads that will get him a completion, but little more.

  6. I am from hamilton and let me tell you it is a great feeling win we win. Now that opponents recognize Hamilton has a serious running threat it will take pressure off of Maas. Hamilton still has a chance to make playoffs. They aren't that bad of a team. They seem to improve each week. So yes im very excited and don't be surprised if they win 6-8 games this year.

  7. Lumsden's performance was particularly encouraging.  I hope Hamilton gets out of the basement soon.  It doesn't feel right to have Edmonton and Hamilton missing the playoffs.

  8. Who? Uh, Ti-Cat fans like myself.

How did Lumsden respect his teammates and what do you mean by "plays"? You mean on all his wicked long runs? Pretty danged good, I'd say, and he sort of looked like a bowling ball rolling downhill a la Larry Csonka.

  9. I'm not a Ticat fan, eventhough I live in the area, but I do think it's good for them to get a win like that in front of their home-town fans.  Jesse Lumsden is making a case for himself as the CFL's leading rusher this season, but I think that defenses might be keying up on him a bit more after this week.  Maas has not impressed me since he became a Ticat, and I think that if you can contain Lumsden, you can shut down Hamilton's offense.  Whether it be Maas or Chang behind centre, they need a QB who'll force opposing defenses to respect the passing game in order to be successful.

That being said, the Argos are on a downward slide, and they'll have trouble winning games until Michael Bishop gets back.  And the Montreal Alouettes aren't firing on all cylinders, either.  If they can string a few wins together, Hamilton could contend for a playoff spot in the East--providing that the fourth place team out west doesn't cross over.  I think there's a good chance of the crossover rule coming into play this season, as the West is definitely the stronger division, so Hamilton would probably need to finish in second place to guarantee themselves a playoff spot.  I don't think that'll happen, but hey, there's still another 12 games to be played, so we'll see where they go from here.

  10. Hopefully this means Hamilton is on their way back up!!! Maas and Lumsden are the greatest
