  1. my brother is curently liveing there and going to college. the education is great and the scecery is beutiful from wut i hear they also have awsome technology

       Sayounara!

  2. I used to live in Tokyo. Japan was not the country for me. Overcrowded and racist against Africans and people of European descent. No matter what others tell you it is not that great, highly overrated. I have lived there for 6 years. The people are not that nice, they may seem like it at first but they won't really help you.

I remember, my dad is Black and my Mom is Japanese, a Japanese woman was unaware of my dad being in the US army, so she made some bad gestures and said "Hidoi", when she saw my mom and dad holding hands on a subway. Truly sad and pathetic, and of course without the help of the US, Japan would not have a military.

ALSO, it is for those people that want to work, and I mean work their a** off, there is absolutely NO ROOM for failure. They will make you work 12 hours without breaks or rest and at the end of the day you will fell exhausted and worn out. It is not that great of a country considering that working that hard there, you don't get more than you would working in America.

  3. I lived in Yokohama in 2005 & 2006 - it's crowded, the people are not that friendly to gaijins that live there, and the weather is just awful! Most people that tell you how wonderful Japan is have never actually lived there, some may have visited on vacation but a vacation to Japan and actually living and working there are like night and day. In summer and autumn of 2004 I went on vacation there twice and had so much fun I wanted to move over there. But living in Japan is a totally different animal, and you soon realize that the Japanese are quite gifted at determining which gaijin is on vacation and which ones are living there. You will notice a huge difference in the way you are treated once you start living there. Ex-pats and foreigners living in Japan know it as "the gaijin treatment."

But my biggest dislike of Japan was the weather. I never knew it was such a cold & wet climate in Tokyo/Yokohama. You have basically 6 months of winter from November to April (and the weather is like NYC); May & June is the rainy season where it rains nearly every day and sometimes non-stop for several days in a row (they have more cloudy/rainy days per year than Seattle); July - September is their summer and it is hot & very humid! The only month with consistently nice weather is October, and even then it's cool in the evening and early morning.

  7. I'm not from Japan, but I am Japanese.  I've been there a few times.  I love it there, but it is so much different than living here.  There is a huge cultural difference.  All schools require you to wear a school uniform.  Most transportation is done by walking, bike, train, or bus.  They are not as dependant on cars.  Hope that helps. =D
