I think my team (Melbourne Storm) are going to struggle a bit.

  1. IF JT was still coaching Parramatta I think the Eels (my team!) may have been in with a real chance ! As it turns out I actually believe Souths will have a good year ! but won't win - possible top 5 contenders maybe. Never right of the Broncos or Cowboys as they prove time and time again at Origin. Having said that it would be sacriledge for Melbourne to win GF, well done Broncos, we don't hate people North of the border after all, we share the same religion NRL and you saved us from a Southern upstart Premiership win!  So Cowboys v Broncos - heres a thought, hold it at Suncorp! Plenty of good pubs in Caxton Street & heaps of Parramatta supporters there too!

  2. I say the Dragons cause they are my team and they will win it one year! But they'll choke again lol. Melbourne have a good shot, though I'm not sure Inglis will be any good at 5/8. Brisbane will be right up there as will the Bulldogs I think. Its going to be hard to pick though!

  3. DRAGONS of course.

  4. Ok my pick (I go fo the eels)

is the titans- now i know what you are thinking but hold on to the phone- I think they will do really well and given the right circumstances (like the tiger a year or two ago) will get to the GF and win it.

I feel that alot of teams have lost key players to the new team, it all comes down to gelling as a team.

the other surpise packet this year will be the cowboys and souths.

both have recruited well and if the cowboys keep jason smith fit and on the field they will be a force to be reconed with, their biggest battle is in the halves and kicking areas.

I do like the storm and think they will feature in the finals but agree with you am not sure that the spark is still in the team after the loss (which should definetly not happened- what is with the best team losing the grand final)

anyway thanks for letting me rant a little and put a small wager on the titans for the gf.

  5. Canterbury Bulldogs is my bet. If key players are injury free throughout season I don't see any reason why they are not the 07 premiers.May the Gods of NRL be with Sonny Bill this year. Go the doggs !!!

  6. Well hopefully it will be the Cowboys year. With Justin Smith coming into the team this will ease the pressure off JT and they will still be able to win around origin time which has been proven to be their downside over the last couple of years. The players that will be stepping up from the young guns are good players and will be need also around origin time. Also i believe their back rowers will step up to the plate this year and that will be a major improvement. After their less then impressive season last year they will be much better and the have been so close to winning the comp. So hopefully as a team not just depending on one person they will be 2007 premiers!!!

  7. I go for the panthers but would i rate them to win um... NO. What about the Bronco's can they go back to back?? Otherwise I would pick the Cowboys they have been on the verge the last few seasons and this year could be there year.

  8. I go for the Sharks, do I think they can win? No. I think Brisbane, Melbourne, Canterbury and possibly North Queensland are the front runners.
